Wireless access control hardware and software

Aether RF makes the KNECT wireless bridges, the Wiegand Wave 150, and KNECT Core Access, which is coming soon. Start from the job in front of you and the right part follows.

The KNECT line: two Endpoints with their antennas, an ARF Tether, and a Gateway in an open enclosure

Start from the job

How many doors and gates the wire doesn't reach, and whether there's an access panel staying on site, decide which product you want.

  1. One door or gate

The access panel stays, and one reader is out of the wire's reach.

  2. Two to eight doors or gates

All off one access panel you're keeping. Past eight, a second system goes in beside the first.

  3. No access panel

Or the one on site is being replaced, on a site of two to fifteen doors.

  4. After the install

Checking a site from your desk, and reading a device at the door. The bridges run without either.

Every part number

Nine ship today, and Core Access is coming. Most jobs start from one of two: a KEP-202 pair for one door or gate, or the One to Many Kit for more.

ProductPartWhat it's for
KNECT One to Many KitOTM-KA Gateway in its enclosure, an ARF Tether, two Endpoints and the transformers. Where One to Many jobs start.
KNECT Endpoint PairKEP-202Two Endpoints, which is one complete point to point bridge.
KNECT EndpointKEP-200One Endpoint. Wiegand at 4 to 64 bit, OSDP, or two relays, from the same unit.
KNECT Endpoint in EnclosureKEP-203One Endpoint already fitted in a metal can, with the antenna mounted outside it.
KNECT GatewayKGW-100Wires to the access panel and connects up to four doors or gates. On its own it's a bare board.
KNECT OSDP HatKGW-HSits on top of a Gateway so a One to Many system can run OSDP readers.
ARF TetherARF-T100The Gateway's radio. It mounts up to 400 ft from the Gateway, so the antenna goes where the signal is.
Wiegand Wave 150 PairWW152Two units, which is one complete Wiegand bridge.
Wiegand Wave 150WW150One unit, to replace one in a pair.
KNECT Core AccessKCA-100Coming soon. An access controller for a site with no panel.

What the bridges have in common

The Endpoint, the Gateway with its Tether, and the Wiegand Wave are built the same way. Once you've installed one, you know most of what the others need.

One radio
902 to 928 MHz, hopping across 50 channels. The Endpoint, the Tether and the Wiegand Wave all use it, so they reach the same distance
Wiegand, and OSDP where it's built in
Wiegand at 4 to 64 bit throughout. OSDP is built into the Endpoint. A Gateway needs a KGW-H Hat, and the Wiegand Wave is Wiegand only
Wiring printed on the unit
Color-coded terminals, and the Central and Remote wiring table printed on the face of every Endpoint and Wiegand Wave
No laptop on site
Pair with the DIP switches on the units. The portal and the app are there if you want them, and a bridge runs without either
